FOND DU LAC, WI- The Dock Spiders (28-29) are now a game below .500 on the season for the first time since the second week of the season as they clip the Wisconsin Woodchucks (23-34) 6-5.

Both teams had scoreless 1st innings, but the Woodchucks would score first with two runs in the 2nd inning. The two runs scored on an error charged to KV Edwards, and Wisconsin lead 2-0.

It seemed every time the Woodchucks would score, Fondy had an answer. In the 4th inning, with the bases loaded, Eric Feliz brought a run in to score, but that was it for the Spiders. It was 2-1 after 4 innings. Chris Cornelius would tie the game up in the 5th with a sacrifice fly that scored Collin Ridout.

The tie wouldn't last long as the Woodchucks would regain the lead on back-to-back RBI singles from Hunter Coleman and Logan Foster. Wisco lead 4-2 and chased Dock Spiders starer Jacob Barton who finished his day with 5.2 innings pitched and allowed four earned runs. Kyle Huckaby came on in relief of Jacob Barton and recorded the final out of the 6th inning.

Just like the previous tie, the Woodchucks lead didn't last long either. Collin Ridout singled in Nick Fortes to make it a one run game in the bottom of the 6th. Following a walk to Caleb Summerhays, Brandon Wulff came on as a pinch hitter and delivered. Wulff lined a ball into left field for a two run single and the Dock Spiders possessed their first lead of the night at 5-4.

Both Fondy and Wisconsin would score another run each, but the Dock Spiders hung on to win 6-5. Kyle Huckaby picked up the victory as he pitched 3.1 innings and allowed one run.

Fondy's victory came in front of a record setting, sell out crowd of 1,898 people in attendance at Marian University's Herr-Baker Field.

The Dock Spiders head to Kalamazoo tomorrow for a matchup with the Growlers at 6:05 CST. It's game one of a three day road trip.
