It’s time to check in with some of Dock Spiders players from last summer to see how their experience was and what to expect during their upcoming college season!

Brandon Wulff – Stanford

What was your favorite Dock Spiders moment from the Summer of 2017?

Favorite moment was Gilgy’s (Eric Gilgenbach) walk-off triple.

What was your favorite part about being in Fond du Lac?

Being on the team for the first year was incredible, and it was fun to have the fans really rally behind us towards the end of the season.

What did you do when you had an off day during the season?

Well we don’t get many days off, but during the All Star Break a few us went to Noah’s Ark Waterpark, about an hour or two away.

How did the Northwoods League experience help you grow as a player?

The Northwoods League was incredible.  Playing every day actually made baseball more fun and being around a great group of guys was just an added bonus.

How was your Fall Ball season, and what was are your expectations for your college season this Spring?

Fall ball went well at Stanford, and I should be starting in RF this year.  I’m looking forward to what the Spring holds for me, as well as what will happen in this year’s MLB draft.  It would be a dream come true to hear my name called on Draft Day.

What advice would you provide future players who are coming to play for the Dock Spiders and in the Northwoods League?

If you really want to play at the next level, come to the Northwoods League and see what it’s like to play every day.  If you can’t handle it in the NWL, then you won’t be able to handle pro ball.  It’s as simple as that.
