Wausau, WI- On a rainy day in Wisconsin the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (1-1) and the Wisconsin Woodchucks (1-1) were able to get game number two of the NWL season in with a short delay to the start time of the game.

Hot pitching from the Woodchucks pitching core was too much to handle for the Dock Spiders. Wisconsin gave up 7 hits but produced 11 strikeouts between four different pitchers.

Two of the three Woodchucks runs came off of errors, one in the 2nd and one in the 6th.

Two Dock Spiders got their first career hits in the Fondy sweater. Brett McCLeary (Iowa) went 1/4 in the DH spot and Duncan Hewitt (Butler) went 1/4 from the catcher’s circle.

Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) continued his hot start to the season going 2/4 with a single in the 4th and the 6th. The Chesapeake, VA native is now 4/8 in the first two games of the season with 1 home run and 6 RBI’s.
