Fond du Lac, WI- For the second day in a row in front of a crowd of 967 the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (11-8) shutout the Green Bay Bullfrogs (7-13) 10-0.

Shane Ritter (Iowa) got the start on the mound for the Spiders and picked up the win. He finished the game throwing 6 innings only allowing 2 hits, 2 walks, and dished out 6 strikeouts facing 23 batters.

Troy Black (Kentucky) continued his success when he belted one into right center field which drove in the first run of the game.

Two batters later in his Dock Spiders debut, Jack Wassel (Minnesota), wasted no time getting to work as he picked up an RBI single which put the Spiders ahead 2-0. Fond du Lac would also tack on one more run in the inning on a sacrifice fly.

In the 5th inning the Dock Spiders increased the lead from 3 to 5. Brad Hudson (Southern Illinois) lined one into right center field that reached the warning track sending in two runs making it a 5-0 lead. For the Allen, TX native he now has 5 doubles and 11 RBI.

With Black on the first base bag after reaching on a walk, Mitch Boe (Iowa) hit an RBI double when he lifted one into left center field that landed just feet in front of the warning track making the lead 7. Fond du Lac would add on one more run in the inning making it a 8-0 lead.

Wassel in his debut got his second RBI single of the afternoon which increased the lead to 9. For the The Geneva, IL product finished his first game in the Fondy sweater going 2/3 with 2 RBI and 1 run.

With two outs in the bottom of the 8th Black split the 3/4 hole with his third single of the night and his second RBI sending Dayton Provost (Oklahoma State) home for the 10th run.

Two out hitting was key for the Dock Spiders today as 8 of their 12 hits came with 2 outs. The Fondy bats have really started to heat up the last couple of games where they now have 34 hits in their last 3 games.

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders will have the day of tomorrow and then be at home for the next 4 games starting with the Wisconsin Woodchucks. First pitch is at 6:35 PM.
