FOND DU LAC, WI- For the second straight day the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (21-16) got beat by the Kenosha Kingfish.

Despite outhitting the Kingfish 13-8, the Dock Spiders would fall to 0-2 on the second half of the season while Kenosha stayed unbeaten. It was just the 4th time this season that Fondy would out hit their opponent and lose, the second time it has happened to Kenosha.

Kenosha was able to pick up two runs in the bottom of the 2nd. One run would be scored on a fielder’s choice and the other would be on an RBI single.

Chris Ayers (Indiana State) led things off in the bottom of the 3rd with a base hit into right field. Jacob Adams (Ole Miss) would send Ayers home after a bloop shot in the infield.

Kenosha would increase the lead to 7-2 after 7 innings. The Kingfish were able to tack on runs in three consecutive innings spanning from the 5th to the 7th.

Adams would pick up his second hit off the night leading things off in the 7th. With two outs Troy Black (Kentucky) slashed one into right field for an RBI making the ball game 7-4. Despite a late push from the Dock Spiders they would come out on the losing end.

Fond du Lac will host the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters for a two game stand starting tomorrow night at 6:35 PM.
