Green Bay, WI– The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (24-17) got their second sweep of the season over the Green Bay Bullfrogs (13-29) a score of 7-5.

Austin Wagner (Ellsworth CC) was credited with the win throwing 6 innings, allowing three runs, two earned runs, and dished out 3 strikeouts.

Fondy got on the scoreboard early in the ball game with three runs in the 2nd inning. Kiambu Fentress (Vanderbilt) got the scoring going with his first double of the season which sent home run number one. Two runs would be scored on the next at bat when the Green Bay first baseman committed an error.

Mitch Boe (Iowa) the third batter of the 3rd inning with one out would knock home the fourth run of the ball game with a base hit. Green Bay would answer however in the 4th and the 5th with two runs making the score 4-2.

Two out hitting was key for the Dock Spiders in 7th inning earning a walk and two hits. Sam Cohen (UC Santa Barbara) got the first two out hit. One run would come into score off a wild pitch before Tyler Wardwell (Duke) drove home Cohen making the lead 6-2.

The Bullfrogs tried to replicate the what the Dock Spiders did in the 8th inning yesterday when they grabbed three runs in the 8th. Unfortunately the three runs would not be enough.

Player of the Game 

Jack Wassel (Minnesota) led things off for Fond du Lac for the 10th straight game and got the first hit of the night. Wassel finished the night going 3 for 4 with a walk.

Fond du Lac will host the Lakeshore Chinooks who are undefeated in the second half of the season tomorrow at 6:35 PM.
