FOND DU LAC, WI- The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (25-17) picked up a 2-0 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks (22-20) in just two hours and four minutes.

Jon Young (Indiana Wesleyan) got the start on the mound for Fondy and after giving up a double on the first pitch of the night he was excellent. Young finished the night throwing 11 innings, allowing only 4 hits, 1 walk, and dished out 3 strikeouts on 26 batters.

For the second straight night the Dock Spiders would come through with two out hitting both coming from the same two guys. Tyler Wardwell (Duke) picked up the first two out RBI single sending in the first run of the ball game. Wardwell extended his hit streak to 8 games on the base hit. Sam Cohen (UC Santa Barbara) would follow with an RBI single of his own in the next at bat sending home the second and final run of the game.

Zach Bryant (Daytona State) got his 7th save of the season coming in during the 9th inning striking out two of three batters.

It was the third time the Dock Spiders took down the Chinooks and just the first Lakeshore loss during the second half of the season. The game that flew by only saw with hits, four from each team.

Fond du Lac will look for their 5th sweep of the season tomorrow hosting the Chinooks at 6:35 PM.
