BATTTLE CREEK, MI- For the first time this season the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (27-19) fell at C.O. Brown Stadium to the Battle Creek Bombers (23-23).

The Bombers got off to an early lead picking up runs in the 1st and 2nd. Fond du Lac in a 2-0 hole heading into the top of the 4th would decrease the deficit to one. The third batter of the inning, Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) would drive in the Dock Spiders first run of the game with a base hit to right field.

Battle Creek responded quickly as they were able to tack on a run in the 5th and two in the 6th increasing the lead to 5-1.

Jacob Adams (Ole Miss) got his first home run of the summer when he jacked one out over the right field wall to lead things off in the 7th.

A late push from the Spiders in the 9th inning would not be enough. Kiambu Fentress (Vanderbilt) extended his hit streak to four games and sent in the third and final run of the ball game for Fondy.

Fond du Lac has one more game to go on the four game road trip in Michigan. It will be 12:05 PM first pitch tomorrow vs. Battle Creek.
