FOND DU LAC, WI- The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (35-27) dropped a game to the Kalamazoo Growlers (37-26) by a score of 3-2.

Fondy was only able to muster up three hits, two of which came off the bat of Zac Taylor (Illinois). With a runner on in the first and one out Taylor would get his first double of the season setting up the first run of the ball game. Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss) followed with a ground out into the infield but would pick up an RBI on the play giving Fond du Lac a 1-0 lead.

The second run of the inning would be scored on the Growlers lone error of the ball game.

Kalamazoo would add on one in the 3rd inning and the two runs they added in the 7th would prove to be the difference.

The Growlers were led by their starting pitcher Kyle Virbitsky (Penn State) who threw 8 innings, surrendering just one hit.

Fond du Lac will play host to the Kalamazoo Growlers for one more time this season tomorrow night at 6:35 PM on Harry Potter night.
