FOND DU LAC, WI- The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (35-28) would fall for the second straight night to the Kalamazoo Growlers (39-25) this time a score of 7-3. The game was attended by 1,209 fans making it 6 out of the last 8 games at Herr-Baker Field where the Spiders have drawn 1,000+.

Kalamazoo got on the scoreboard in the top of the 2nd inning but Fond du Lac would be able to answer right back. Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss) led things off with a base hit and then two batters later Kiambu Fentress (Vanderbilt) would rip out a single. Alex Henwood (Nebraska) grounded into a 4-3 putout which would send home Zabwoski to tie the game up at 1-1.

In the 5th it was Alex Henwood (Nebraska) who led things off with his second triple on the season. Three batters later Jack Wassel (Minnesota) would pick up his first hit of the night sending home Henwood giving Fondy a 2-1 lead.

After the Growlers score a run to tie the ball game at 2-2 in top of the 6th, the Dock Spiders would answer right back. Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss) led things off for the third time during the night and grabbed his third hit, this time it was a leadoff double. Zabowski would later score in the inning on a wild pitch giving the Spiders a 3-2 lead. The Lawrencville, GA native finished the night going 4 for 4 with a double, and two runs scored.

Kalamazoo would pick up five runs in the top half of the 7th which would prove to be the difference in a 7-3 ball game.

Fond du Lac will head to Wisconsin Rapids tomorrow night for a 6:05 showdown with the Rafters.
