FOND DU LAC, WI- Connor Cook (UW-La Crosse) would throw a complete game shutout leading the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders to a 3-0 victory over the Duluth Huskies.

On 97 pitches Cook would find the strike zone 67 times which included seven strikeouts. The best outing of the summer from the Roselle, IL native also included retiring the order six times.

Fond grabbed all of their runs in the 5th frame when they would eventually work the starting pitcher out of the ball game. After four walks on the first five batters the starter would be pulled. The Dock Spiders were able to score their first run of the ball game scoring on a wild pitch. Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss) came up clutch again for Fondy knocking a two RBI single into right field giving the Spiders a 3-0 lead.

Zabowski finished the night 3 for 4 with two RBI.

Fond du Lac will head to Wade Stadium in Duluth, MN for a 7:05 first pitch. The Dock Spiders are now just one win away from their first ever Northwoods League Title.
