It’s time to check in with some Dock Spiders players from last summer to see how their experience was and what to expect during their upcoming college season!

Zach Bryant (RHP) – Jacksonville University

What was your favorite Dock Spiders moment from the 2018 season?

My favorite part of the 2018 season was sealing the deal in the 9th whenever my team earned the lead and knowing my teammates had full confidence in me getting those big 3 outs.

What was your favorite part about being in Fond du Lac?

My favorite part of being in Fond du Lac was building friendships with teammates and families that will carry on after summer ball.

What did you do when you had an off day during the season?

I went to Noah’s Ark in Wisconsin Dells with my host family.

How did the Northwoods League experience help you grow as a player?

It prepared me for the toll of playing every day and how it would be if I’m fortunate enough to play pro ball.

How was your Fall Ball season, and what are your expectations for your college season this Spring?

My fall ball season was great! Got in a lot better shape and pitched really well. I want to help my team this year in any way I can to make it past a regional and hopefully hear my name called in the MLB draft in early June.

What advice would you provide future players who are coming to play for the Dock Spiders and in the Northwoods League?

Be prepared to be play every day and make memories with the friends on the team and your host family. The relationships you build in summer ball will last far beyond the summer.
