MADISON, WI— The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (6-6) and the Madison Mallards (11-1) battled each other after a walk off win the previous night. It was not another offensive game, quite the opposite.

The pitchers were the stars of the show tonight. Houston Glad (Texas Wesleyan) went seven strong while only allowing three runs. Five hits were all Glad would give up.

The Dock Spiders pitching was tough all night, but it didn’t matter how many runs they allowed as the offense couldn’t produce a run.

Zack Prajzner (Notre Dame) went 1-3 with a walk. Max Downs (Saint Xavier) had another multi hit night with two hits in four trips to the plate.

It was a pitchers duel all night. Neither team was allowing anyone to score. Glad would keep the offense in reach with a one run deficit until the seventh inning.

The Dock Spiders offense reached third base just one time during the night. They left the bases loaded in the fourth inning.

The Dock Spiders look to end their three game skid tomorrow when they come back home. They will take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 1:05 PM CST. Come out and get your 2018 Dock Spiders replica championship ring.
