FOND DU LAC, WI– The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (6-7) fell yet again for the fourth straight game to the Wisconsin Woodchucks (8-5). The Dock Spiders offense couldn’t get anything going as they fell behind in the fifth inning.

The Dock Spiders opened up the game with a promising 1-0 lead. Zack Prajzner (Notre Dame) led the game off with a walk against his Notre Dame teammate Brian Morrell. Prajzner would come around and score on the Kellen Sarver (Illinois) RBI single.

It would be Sarver’s first at-bat for the Dock Spiders this year. After that the offense went cold and couldn’t find a way to manufacture anymore runs.

The Woodchucks faced Jonathon Cowles (Colorado-Colorado Springs) who went four shutout innings, before hitting a rough patch in the fifth. The lead off man got on after being hit then a walk and a single to give the Woodchucks their first lead of the game.

The Woodchucks would score three more times after that and combine for five runs from the fifth through seventh innings. The Woodchucks got a lead off man on in seven of the nine innings.

The Dock Spiders will need to shake this one off and find their way back into the win column tomorrow night as they face the Woodchucks on the road for a 6:35 PM CST first pitch.
