FOND DU LAC, WI– The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (8-7) and the Lakeshore Chinooks (4-11) battled in game one of the day night double header. The Dock Spiders offense had timely hitting, timely pitching, and great defense to secure the victory.

 

Sam Grace (Southern Illinois) took the ball today for his first start of the year. Grace would have a smooth three innings then run into trouble in the fourth. He only allowed one run in the game.

 

Bubba Horton (Minnesota) came in for some long relief and dealt for four innings without allowing a run. He struck out six in those innings of work.

 

It was a fast start for the offense who manufactured two runs in the first inning of work. River Carbone (Arizona Christian) came in for the four out save to shut the door and win it 4-1.
