MEQUON, WI— The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (8-10) battled the Lakeshore Chinooks (6-13) on the road and fell 9-5.

 

Aaron Funk (Arkansas Little-Rock) started for the Dock Spiders and went just three innings of work before being pulled in the fourth inning. The Chinooks took a five run lead into the fifth.

 

The Dock Spiders would get two of the runs back and cut it to 5-2.

 

The Chinooks would put two more runs on the board and make it 7-2 after five. Andrew Schleusner (Montana State Billings) would add another run to the board and make it 7-3 in the sixth.

 

The Chinooks would then put those two runs back on their scoreboard and make it 9-3. The Dock Spiders showed some fight in the ninth by tacking on two runs on a two run double by Kellen Sarver (Illinois).

 

Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) went 2-5 with an RBI and a run. Tim Elko (Mississippi) went 2-5 with a run.

 

Zeb Adreon (Iowa) went 2-5 with a run scored. The Dock Spiders dropped their third straight.
