WAUSAU, WI— Another great pitching performance by the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (8-9) as they faced the Wisconsin Woodchucks (7-10). Aaron Funk (Arkansas Little-Rock) went six strong innings and dominated the Woodchucks.

Funk struck out 11 batters in the 18 outs he got. He would allow two runs and two hits in his six innings.

The Dock Spiders offensively were a little bit more lively tonight. After a run came home to score to tie the game up off a Sam Novitske (Oregon) RBI single.

Then it was an RBI by Kellen Sarver (Illinois) to take the lead 2-1 early one. The Woodchucks would answer quickly and tie it up.

An Aaron Anderson (Flagler) solo shot gave the Dock Spiders the lead 3-2. They would not look back from there.

Luke Robinson (Western Carolina) would join in on the fun and hit another solo home run to give the Dock Spiders a 4-2 lead. Robinson has hit four home runs in less than a week now.

Max Cioffi (Mississippi) came in and got the save by striking out the side.

The Dock Spiders are going to take on the Woodchucks tomorrow morning for an 11:35 AM CST first pitch. It’ll be the last time the Woodchucks come to Fond du Lac.
