WAUSAU, WI – Following an exciting victory on home field to open the 2020 season, the Dock Spiders will travel to Athletic Park in Wausau to face the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 6:35 pm to finish out the two-game series.

 

Dock Spiders pitching helped secure the win in Wednesday night’s victory, carrying a combined no-hitter into the eighth inning and striking out 15 total batters en route to a 2-1 win.

 

Matt McCormick and Ryan Ritter were the two offensive players of the night, both of them with sacrifice flies to score a run in the first and seventh inning, respectively.

 

The Woodchucks managed one run on three hits for the night, with two of their three hits coming in the final inning of play. Wisconsin’s lone run would cross the plate in the ninth before Theron Denlinger closed things down to will the Dock Spiders to a win.
