MADISON, WI – In their first matchup of the 2021 Northwoods League season, the Dock Spiders used a balanced effort to bring home a win from the capital city. The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders defeated the Madison Mallards, 5-1, on Saturday night.

Key Plays

  • In the fifth inning, Tavian Josenberger notched his ninth RBI with a double down the right field line
  • Victor Scott connected on his first solo home run of the season in the ninth inning to extend the Dock Spiders’ lead to 4-1 at that point
  • Later in the ninth, Caleb Durbin put the final run on the scoreboard with an RBI single to right to score Jackson Loftin from second

Key Players

  • In his first start of the season, Ryan Loutos threw seven strong innings, allowing seven hits, one earned run, zero walks, and two strikeouts
  • Connor Manthey made a great return to the lineup, finishing 3-4 with one double
