MEQUON, WI – Between one resumption game and one regularly scheduled game, the Dock Spiders already had a long day ahead Monday, but back-to-back extra inning wins made the day both longer, and sweeter. In a resumption game from Friday, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks in 11 innings, 7-6. Later Monday night, the Dock Spiders took down the Chinooks again, this time in the ninth inning of a seven-inning contest, 7-6.

GAME 1

Key Plays

  • In the first inning, Tavian Josenberger connected on a two-RBI single to score both Victor Scott and Jackson Loftin and give Fond du Lac an early 2-0 lead
  • Calvin Harris picked up his second RBI of the day in the tenth inning on a single to left field, allowing Scott to come home
  • Jay Harry scored the go-ahead run for the Dock Spiders in the eleventh on an RBI single, scoring Ryan Ignoffo from third base

Key Players

  • Josenberger would total three RBI in the win, finishing 2-5 with one run scored as well
  • Ben Gorski pitched the final 4.0 innings in the victory, allowing just one hit and no earned runs while striking out five Chinooks’ batters

Key Plays

  • Victor Scott scored both the Dock Spiders’ first run in the first inning, and go-ahead run in the ninth each on wild pitches from Chinooks’ pitchers
  • Sam Ireland recorded his first RBI as a Dock Spider in the fourth on a sacrifice fly to right field that brought home Jackson Loftin to score
  • In the eighth, Ryan Ignoffo got back into his offensive rhythm with an RBI single to right field

  • Connor Manthey finished 1-3 Monday with two RBI, one walk, and one run scored
  • Loftin picked up his 20th RBI on the season, finishing 2-5 with two runs scored
