FOND DU LAC, WI – With Independence Day celebrations in full-swing, the Dock Spiders put up a strong effort to battle-back against an early deficit to Rockford, yet fell short Sunday. The Rockford Rivets defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Sunday, 6-5.

  • In the second inning, Josh Spiegel connected on an RBI-double to give the Dock Spiders their first run of the game
  • Trey Lafleur rocketed a two-run home run over the right field fence in the seventh inning, his first longball of the year

Key Players

  • Chandler Simpson consistently found a way on-base Sunday, finishing 3-5 with one run scored
  • Spiegel would finish 2-3 with one RBI, one double, one run scored, and one walk in the loss
