MADISON, WI – The Dock Spiders’ offense could not have had a stronger start to the second-half of the NWL season than it did in Wednesday’s win over the Mallards. After Tuesday’s matchup was postponed due to rain, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders defeated the Madison Mallards, 14-8, to earn their first win past the midpoint of the NWL season.

  • Jackson Loftin would give Fond du Lac an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on the first of his two home run night, a two-run shot to left field
  • The Dock Spiders scored eight runs in the second inning on four hits with seven different players recording an RBI
  • Later in the fifth, Loftin would hit his second two-run home run of the night

  • Loftin would finish 2-3 with two home runs, five total RBI, and three walks
  • Jackson Kimbrell, in his first appearance of the season, pitched 4.0 strong innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run while striking out five Mallards’ batters
