FOND DU LAC, WI – With the best winning percentage in the second half of the NWL season, the Dock Spiders won their third consecutive game behind a dominant pitching performance from Connor McKenna and a big offensive showing Thursday. With the All-Star break drawing close, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders defeated the Wisconsin Woodchucks, 6-1.

  • In the second inning, Victor Scott connected on a two-run home run over the right field wall to give the Dock Spiders a 4-1 lead
  • Later in the sixth, Chandler Simpson extended Fond du Lac’s lead with an RBI single

  • Connor McKenna threw a strong six innings Thursday to earn his fourth win of the season, allowing just three hits and one earned run while totaling three walks to seven strikeouts 
  • Simpson would finish 3-5 in the win with one RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs scored
