FOND DU LAC, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders and Madison Mallards split a doubleheader Monday with each game lasting seven innings each. In the first game, the Mallards saw Alex Iadisernia bash his ninth home run of the season to tie for the NWL lead in the long-ball category as Madison secured the 4-2 win. Later in the second matchup, the Dock Spiders came one-run shy of their season-high as they cruised to a 14-5 win with Austin Sachen pitching a complete game.

  • To score the Dock Spiders’ only two runs in the loss, Jackson Loftin connected on a two-RBI single to left field to score both Chandler Simpson and Victor Scott

  • Loftin would finish 3-3 in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader while totaling two RBI

  • Ireland added his second RBI in Monday’s game two win with another RBI single in the fourth

  • For the first time this season, a Dock Spider pitcher threw a complete game as Austin Sachen tossed 7.0 innings to earn his first win of the summer
