Dock Spiders Fall to Mallards in Regular Season Finale, Begin Playoffs Sunday
MADISON, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders concluded the 2021 NWL regular season Sunday with an 11-5 loss to the Madison Mallards.
- In the second inning, Connor Manthey connected on his third RBI double in as many games, scoring Seth Sweet-Chick from third base
- Sweet-Chick would drive in a run of his own in the third frame with a two-out RBI single to left field
- Holden Missey drove in two runs Saturday night, finishing 2-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run scored
- Not only did Nick Terrell finish 1-4 with an RBI in his final game of the season, but the Ripon College product also pitched 1.0 inning of no-hit baseball with one strikeout and no walks

The Dock Spiders (43-28) will begin the opening best-of-three game NWL Playoff series against the Mallards Sunday back at Warner Park in Madison, WI with first pitch set for 3:05 p.m. The second game in the series will be held in Fond du Lac, WI Monday at 6:35 p.m. Tickets for game two are available at www.dockspiders.com.
