FOND DU LAC, WI – On Thursday, August 11, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are set to host Marty Paulsen Appreciation Night at Herr-Baker Field to celebrate the 54-year career of the former Fond du Lac High School baseball coach.
Paulsen will be in attendance during the game, which is scheduled for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against the Lakeshore Chinooks. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. All former Fond du Lac Cardinals baseball players may enjoy half-priced tickets for the game. Paulsen led the Cardinals baseball program for 54 years, winning a WIAA State Championship in 2000. Over his career, Paulsen won over 600 games and was elected to the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2022. He recently retired following the 2022 season and left an unforgettable impression on everyone in the Fond du Lac baseball community.
