FOND DU LAC, WI – Nick Mitchell (Western Illinois) beat out a weak groundball to second base in the first inning to set the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders single-season hits record with his 78th of the year, but the Battle Creek Battle Jacks offense exploded for a 17-7 win on Wednesday night at Herr-Baker Field.
