FOND DU LAC, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders welcomed in 1,602 fans during their final home game of the season on Friday night to break the 30,000-mark for the fifth time in franchise history, and the second time since 2019, when they welcomed 33,412 to Herr-Baker Field.
The Dock Spiders saw 32,721 fans attend home games in 2023, the second-highest attended season in franchise history.
Down the stretch, as the Dock Spiders fought for a potential playoff spot, Herr-Baker Field was the place to be, with over 1,000 fans at each of the final five home games. At home, the Dock Spiders gave the fans plenty to cheer about, as they tallied five home runs, 47 stolen bases, and three walk-off wins. Society Insurance donated a total of $250 to the Fond du Lac Area United Way for Dock Spiders home runs hit at home this season, while Silica For Your Home contributed a total of $2,350 to the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac for Dock Spiders stolen bases at Herr-Baker Field in 2023.
The Dock Spiders set a single-game franchise attendance record on June 7 during the second annual I-41 Showdown at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium against the Green Bay Rockers with 2,382 in attendance. The contest at the home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers) featured a walk-off win on a game-ending walk.
