FOND DU LAC, WI- The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (39-31) would fall 6-4 to the Madison Mallards (49-23) in the final regular season meeting of the season.

Madison held a 3-0 lead after three innings but the lead would not stick for long as Fondy would have a huge forth inning.

After being held hitless in the first three frames the Dock Spiders would produce six straight base hits. Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss) would send home two with the bases loaded on a hard hit ground ball that hopped over the first baseman’s head. One batter later Tyler Wardwell (Duke) would pick up and RBI single making the score tied at 3-3.

Two scoreless innings in the 5th and the 6th and the Mallards would attack in the next two. Madison was able to add on one run in the 7th and tack on two in the 8th making the score 6-4 which would prove to be the final.

Mallards outhit the Dock Spiders 12-7 while Madison committed no errors and Fond du Lac committed one.

Dock Spiders will get another crack at the Mallards tomorrow for game number one of the playoffs from the Duck Pond at 7:05 PM.
