FOND DU LAC, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are excited to welcome back three players from last year’s team who will be returning in 2019.  Bubba Horton (Minnesota), Conor Dryer (Central Missouri), and Brad Hudson (Southern Illinois) will all be back with the Dock Spiders this summer.

Horton, a sophomore left-handed pitcher, is entering his second season with the Gophers.  Horton played for the Dock Spiders last year during the championship run.  He finished 1-1 with a 5.62 ERA in 13 games, striking out 25 in 32.0 innings during the regular season and striking out two in 4.1 innings during the Northwoods League playoffs.

Dryer, a 6’3” sophomore from the University of Central Missouri, is a familiar face to Dock Spider fans. During the 2018 season, Dryer pitched in six games and had an ERA of 1.68. He picked up his only save in a crucial, 13-9 victory, late in the season at Lakeshore.

Hudson, a 5’10” sophomore at Southern Illinois University, may have had the most exciting play (inside the park home run) of the Dock Spiders 2018 season. While patrolling the outfield, he appeared in 24 games with 82 at-bats, recording 26 hits with a .317 batting average. He also had six stolen bases and five doubles.
