FOND DU LAC, WI– The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (4-1) sweep the homestand against the Wisconsin Woodchucks (2-3). It was another tight one that the Dock Spiders had to fight for late in the game.

Houston Glad (Texas Wesleyan) was masterful for the Dock Spiders. A seven inning gem, which he couldn’t go any further due to the pitch count rules.

Eight strike outs and three runs given up, while only one was earned against Glad. River Carbone (Arizona Christian) shut it down with the six out save and closed out the 5-3 win.

The Dock Spiders have a never die attitude going on with this offense. The offense has come up clutch for yet another game.

After quickly trailing 3-0 early in the game, Aaron Anderson (Flagler) would deliver a sacrifice fly and bring in the first run for the Dock Spiders.

The very next inning a balk would bring home another run. A Sam Novitske (Oregon) RBI double would tie the game up in the fourth. Novitske would go 3-4 with two doubles on the day.

The two offenses would stall out until the seventh inning for the Dock Spiders. The offense would create a two out rally.

After walking the bases loaded, it was up to Luke Robinson (Western Carolina) with two outs. Robinson would deliver the clutch two out, two run single to take the lead 5-3.

From there the Dock Spiders would ride out the last two innings and win their fourth straight. The Dock Spiders hit the road tomorrow night to face the Woodchucks for a 6:35 PM CST first pitch.
