KENOSHA, WI – After taking a 1-0 lead in the third inning, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders would not hold a lead again until scoring the go-ahead run in the ninth inning to complete the comeback victory over the Kenosha Kingfish. On Monday night, the Dock Spiders defeated the Kingfish 6-5. With two outs in the ninth, Jackson Loftin was able to score from third base on a wild pitch to give Fondy the one-run lead.

  • In the third inning, Maurice Hampton connected on a first-pitch solo home run to left field, his first of the season
  • Trailing by one run, McGwire Holbrook scored from third base after a Kenosha infield error on a ground ball to tie the game at 5-5
  • Gus Collins entered the game in the eighth inning and allowed just one hit across the final two innings, including closing out the game with a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth frame to secure the win

  • Starting pitcher Riley Frey struck out eight Kenosha batters in 6.2 innings from the mound
  • Chandler Simpson continued his consistency at the plate, going 2-4 with one walk, one run scored, and two stolen bases to bring his season total to 11 stolen bags.
