BryatKalamazoo, Mich. – After posting a four-game home stand in which the Kalamazoo Growlers went 3-1, the Growlers hit the road for a two-game road series against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The Growlers will look to extend their winning streak and inch their way closer towards the top of the South Division in the Northwoods League.

PROBABLE STARTERS

Monday, June 16: Dillon Haviland (2-1, 1.22 ERA) vs. Zach Barr (0-0, 1.58 ERA)

This will be the second start of the season for Haviland, who dominated in his first start against the Wisconsin-Rapids Rafters. Haviland went seven innings allowing seven hits and giving up just one run, earning the win. Haviland has the second lowest ERA (1.22) on the Growlers staff.

Tuesday, June 17: Jacob Post (1-2, 10.28 ERA) vs. Seth Davis (1-0, 0.00 ERA)

A quality option in the Growlers starting rotation, Post will be making his fourth start this season. He has went at least four innings in all of his starts this season.

Lineups will be posted on Facebook and Twitter prior to first pitch.

This is the first ever meeting between the two teams.

GAME NOTES

  • The Growlers are currently riding a three game win streak including a walk-off single by Austin Cangelosi against Green Bay on Sunday. They have also been a scoring machine as of late scoring 43 runs in the last six games. The Growlers are also leading the Northwoods League in batting average (.284).
  • Troy Montgomery has been Mr. Consistent for the Growlers line-up this season, as his .333 batting average is 10th best in the Northwoods League this season.
  • Due to the recent win streak, the Growlers have slowly moved up the South Division and now are just 3.5 games back of first place. The Wisconsin Woodchucks have won eight of their last 10 games and are a half game back of the top spot in the South Division
  • The Woodchucks have been dominant due to their pitching staff, who is near the top of league with a 3.65 ERA.

  • The Growlers will be home on Wednesday June 18 and Thursday June 19 to take on the Wisconsin-Rapids Rafters. On Wednesday, it's Edward Rose & Sons Mascot Olympics Night along with Western Michigan University Night. The Growlers will then host Tishhouse Electric's Cowboy Monkey Rodeo Night.
