Growlers Announce Swiftie Night: Love Story Edition on Saturday, June 13
Growlers to Wear Custom “Wedding Dress” Jerseys to Benefit Former Girl Scout Taylor Swift’s Roots; Fans Urged to Join Priority List Now for Early Ticket Access
Are you ready for it, Kalamazoo? On this Galentine’s Day—and lucky number 13—the Kalamazoo Growlers are officially sparking a “Love Story” at Homer Stryker Field.
The team has announced the return of their most anticipated theme night: Swiftie Night: The Wedding Edition, taking place on Saturday, June 13.
In a nod to the ultimate power couple, the Growlers will face off against the Traverse City Pit Spitters in a visual spectacle.
The Growlers will take the field in custom “Wedding Dress” jerseys, while the Pit Spitters will sport “Suit” jerseys featuring red footballs and yellow goalposts.
In a tribute to Taylor Swift’s own history as a Girl Scout, all proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan.
A special ticket package of an exclusive t-shirt and commemorative invitation will be available to fans who sign up for the Priority List starting on Monday, February 16. Tickets are expected to move faster than a getaway car.
Fans can choose between the Ticket + Exclusive Shirt ($30) or Ticket Only ($18). Both include a commemorative wedding invitation.
As the center-piece of “The Wedding Edition,” the Growlers are searching for one special couple from the greater Kalamazoo area to say “I Do” (or “I Do, Again!”) at home plate.
The team is officially calling for submissions from couples who want to get married or renew their vows on the field in front of 3,000+ fans. The chosen couple will receive:
- A Free 20-Guest VIP Wedding Party at the game.
- The On-Field Ceremony during the Swiftie Night festivities.
- A Night to Remember with the ultimate Swiftie-themed reception.
How to Enter: We want to hear your story. Whether it’s a “Long Story Short” or an “Invisible String” that pulled you together, the better the story, the more likely you are to be chosen. Couples can submit their love stories via the form below starting today.
Beyond the ceremony, the night will be filled with “enchanted” activities:
