La Crosse, Wis. – Ben Cejka is returning for his second season with the Loggers this summer.  Ben is a physical education major from Holmen, Wisconsin and is currently attending UW-La Crosse.  

The right-handed pitcher has appeared in 12 games with nine starts this season with UW-L.  He has a 7-2 record with a 4.40 ERA.  He has thrown in 75.2 innings striking out 61 and walking 37.  Ben had a career high 14 strikeouts in a complete game 11-6 win over UW-Stevens Point on April 7.  UW-Stevens Point is currently ranked 16th according to d3baseball.com.  Ben has six complete games this season.  

Last season with the Loggers, Ben appeared in 18 games with two starts. His 18 appearances were the third most on the team. Ben logged 39.0 innings giving up 29 runs, 23 of which were earned. He posted a 1-3 record while striking out 30 batters.  

With UW-L in 2013, Ben appeared in 11 games with three starts.  He finished 2-1 with a 3.35 ERA.  Ben pitched 37.2 innings with 30 strikeouts.  In 2012, he appeared in nine games with two starts.  He posted a record of 1-1 and a 2.55 ERA.  

Ben attended Holmen High School were he was able to earn three letters in baseball and football, two in basketball and one in golf.  He was First-Team All-Conference in baseball and basketball.  He was named to the All-Conference Academic Team.  

The Loggers open the season in just two weeks as they face off against the Wisconsin Woodchucks May 27 at 7:05 at Copeland Park.
