The La Crosse Loggers extending their win streak to five games as they beat and swept the Kenosha Kingfish with a 4-3 victory Saturday night at Copeland Park.

The Kingfish struck first in this one as Loggers starter Gordon Cardenas (Hawaii) loaded the bases with no outs in the first inning.  Cardenas only allowed one run when Kingfish first basemen Zach Ratcliff singled home the game's first run.

The Loggers would respond quickly though when Friday night's hero, Taylor Kohlwey (UW-La Crosse), reached on an error by Kingfish third basemen Spencer Gaa which would lead to two Loggers runs.

The Kingfish would tie the game up off Cardenas, but he would eventually settle in and put together a good start.  Cardenas' final line included six innings pitched, two runs (all earned), and striking out five.

Reliever Grant Yost (Sacramento City CC) would come in and work two good innings and only flaw being a go-ahead solo home run to Kingfish's left fielder Pat Porter in the top of the eighth.  The Loggers would come right back in the bottom of the eighth when newly activated Logger Nash Knight (Dallas Baptist) hit a go-ahead two-run RBI single.

Also newly activated Logger, Ty Provencher (Long Beach State), would close the door down for the Loggers in the ninth.

The Loggers look to extend their win streak when they host the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Sunday evening at the Lumberyard.  First pitch is slated for 5:05 pm.
