Two strong South Division teams played eachother and battled back-and-forth the entire game until the Chinooks walked off to remain tied for first place with the Madison Mallards, keeping the visiting La Crosse Loggers 0.5 games back in the hotly contested Southern Division race.

Trailing 3-0 through four innings, the Lumbermen went to work in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring twice in each frame.  Kevin Zak (Grand Valley State) returned in fine fashion, lacing a two-run triple in the sixth to give the Loggers a 4-3 lead.  But Lakeshore would answer right back with a run of their own in the bottom of the sixth to knot the score at four.

The score would remain tied unitl the bottom of the ninth when Brett Siddall (Cansius) took a first-pitch ball and then teed off for a walkoff home run. Both starters went into the sixth and beyond and each allowed four runs. Lakeshore's bullpen held strong behind Connor Jones (Virginia), who picked up the win. Logger reliver Gordon Cardenas took his second loss on the season in his first appearance out of the bullpen. 

The Loggers tallied nine hits on the night, led by Zak's two-hit day.

With the loss the Loggers fell to 12-8 and now travel to Wisconsin Rapids to open a two-game set with the Rafters beginning at 7:05 p.m. on Monday night.  The game can be heard live on The Logger Nation Station, Eagle 102.7 FM.  Air time is set for 6:30 p.m.
