All good things have to come to an end, and that’s exactly what happened to the La Crosse Loggers Tuesday night in Willmar, MN.  The Loggers were handed their first loss in over a week by the Stingers.  The loss snapped La Crosse’s seven game win streak.

The Loggers, however, struck first in the top of the first inning when right fielder, Luke Persico (UCLA), singled home Nash Knight (Dallas Baptist) to give the Loggers the 1-0 lead.

In the fifth the Loggers took a 2-0 lead catcher, when Adrian Chacon (North Carolina) scored on a Jack Meggs (Washington) put out.

The Stingers would tie the game up a half inning later on a two-run RBI double from Reagan Fowler.  Willmar would take a two-run lead the next inning on a two-run RBI single by Jack Ross.

Zack Walsh (Valparaiso) came in the ballgame to relieve starter Ryan Deemes (Nicholls State) and provided the Loggers with three innings of scoreless ball.

The Loggers are now tied with the Chinooks in the South Division, after the Lakeshore beat Battle Creek.

The Loggers and Stingers will conclude their series Wednesday night from Willmar.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.  The game can be heard on the Loggers Nation Station, EAGLE 102.7.  Air time is set for 6:30.
