You can call the La Crosse Loggers the comeback kids Tuesday night as they rallied from a 9-5 deficit in the top of the ninth to defeat the Kenosha Kingfish by a final score of 10-9 at Simmons Field.  The game not only included a five-run Loggers comeback, but also a combined thirty hits, and seven errors from the two teams.

La Crosse scored the first four runs of the game thanks, in large part, to a three run first inning.  Kenosha would storm back to score nine of the next ten runs in the game before La Crosse rallied to score five runs in the ninth inning off Kenosha relievers Garrett McKenzie (Saint Mary's University), Paul Schuster (SIU-Edwardsville), and Coley Thompkins (Campbell University).

The Loggers were led offensively by lead-off hitter Jack Meggs (Washington), who went 4-5 with two doubles, a triple, and two runs scored, Luke Persico (UCLA) who went 3-5 with two runs scored, and an RBI, and Ryan Kirby (San Diego) who was a single away from the cycle and finished the night going 3-5 with two runs scored and five RBI's.

Closer, Breckin Williams (Missouri), came on to notch his eleventh save of the season by striking out the side.

The Loggers and Kingfish will conclude their two-game series Wednesday night from Simmons Field in Kenosha.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 and can be heard on the Loggers Nations Station, EAGLE 102.7.
