The Loggers took the series against the Alexandria Blue Anchors Wednesday night by dominating in a 9-1 victory at Knute Nelson Memorial Park.

The Loggers got a stellar performance from starter Blake Stevens (Birmingham-Southern).  Stevens went seven shutout innings, allowing only four hits, while not walking anyone and striking out seven.  Stevens' ERA fell to 2.79 with the performance.

The Loggers got three hits from outfielders Luke Persico (UCLA) and Aaron Knapp (Cal).  Knapp also had two doubles in the performance. Ryan Kirby (San Diego) led the way for the Loggers with two RBI.  

La Crosse will now make the longest bus trip of the year heading from Alexandria to Kalamazoo to kick off a two-game series with the Growlers Thursday night.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:05.
