The Loggers were able to rally but it wasn't enough as they fell to the Willmar Stingers Sunday evening at Copeland Park by a score of 6-3.

The Loggers were down 3-1 when center fielder and All-Star, Mike Nadratowski (Grand Valley State), blasted a towering two-run home run to right field to tie the game up.  The home run was Nadratowski's fifth of the season.

However Willmar was able to regain the lead in the top of the eighth when a bloop double to left field by Reagan Fowler (Creighton) was able to score Dan Motl (Minnesota).  The next batter, Nick Rivera (Florida Gulf Coast), was able to blast a two-run home run to give the Stingers a three-run lead.

The Loggers got a quality start from starter Kevin Roy (Columbia), who went six innings, allowing three runs (one earned), on four hits, while walking two, and striking out eight.

La Crosse will hit the road for a pivotal two-game series against the Kenosha Kingfish.  First pitch is set for 7:05 from Simmons Field in Kenosha and can be heard on the Loggers Nation Station, EAGLE 102.7.
