Game 1: Madison 13. La Crosse 1

The Loggers allowed 13 runs and catcher, Brandon Wessels (Buena Vista), scored the only run by delivering an opposite field home run to right field in the loss from Copeland Park.  It was his second home run on the season.  Madison's, Pete Alonso (Florida), had two home runs, and four RBI's in the victory.  Relievers Jameson Sadowske (UW-La Crosse) and Adam Cline (Columbia), pitched 5.2 innings of relieve allowing just two runs but it wasn't enough for the Lumbermen in the loss.

Game 2: Madison 8, La Crosse 4

Loggers Mitch Bevacqua (3, Washington), Mike Nadratowski (2,Grand Valley State), Luke Persico (2, UCLA), and Ryne Birk (2, Texas A&M) all had multi-hit performances in the defeat at Warner Park in Madison.  Starter, Andrew Frankenreider (Northern Illinois) made his Loggers debut and allowed six runs (earned), in five innings, on nine hits, while walking three and striking out three.  Madison's designated hitter, Austin Barr (Stanford) went 3-4 with a HR, and five RBI to lead the Mallards.
