MEQUON, WI- The Loggers took the nightcap of the doubleheader tonight to complete the comeback. The 7 inning win makes it four straight for the Loggers, and give straight losses for the Chinooks.

Lakeshore jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st on Colby Fitch (Louisville) 2 RBI single. The Chinooks grabbed two more off Logger starter, Zach Lewis (Wichita State), before Matt Naylor (North Florida) came in relief in the 3rd. Greg Deichmann (LSU) reached on an error in the 3rd and scored to extend the Chinook lead to five.

The Loggers kicked it in gear in the 5th. Two walks and a single by Ryan Kirby (San Diego) loaded the bases. Mason McCoy (Iowa) brought in the first run when he reached on an error. Will Savage (Columbia) and Jordan Zimmerman (Michigan State) singled to drive in three more runs. That was the end for Chinooks starter, Mark Kolozsvary (Florida). The pitching change did not stop the Lumberman; Alex Merritt (North Florida) singled to bring in the tying run.

Ronnie Gideon (Texas A&M) walked to leadoff the 6th. Mason McCoy drove in his 28th run with his 3rd triple of the season.

The Loggers added more insurance runs in the final inning of the game. Zander Clarke (UCLA) and Keith Skinner (North Florida) walked to start the inning and did not take long to make it home as Ronnie Gideon slammed the game home with a 3-run home run.

That was the final push needed for La Crosse to complete the comeback. The win puts La Crosse at 6-4, only 2 games below Kenosha in the 2nd half standings. La Crosse now holds a 4-game lead for the final wild card position.
