MEQUON, WI- The Chinooks took the final game in Kapco Park over the Loggers 3-2 last night. Despite not being able to pull out the win, Kevin Flemer pitched another beauty. He went 7.0 innings and gave up on only two runs on four hits. In total, he struck out nine batters.

Lakeshore grabbed two runs in the 1st, but the Loggers cut down the lead in the 2nd. Reaching on an error, Chris Baker (Washington) came around the score off a Ronnie Gideon (Texas A&M) single. Brock Lundquist (Long Beach State) tied the game up with a solo shot.

The Loggers were not able to pull out the win last night as Lakeshore grabbed the lead in the 8th off of Jordan Pearce (Nevada). The loss ended a four game win streak for the Loggers. The two teams are set to battle from Copeland Park tonight. Both teams need the win as both are vying for the final playoff spot. La Crosse has the lead over Lakeshore by 3 ½ games currently.
