Mason McCoy collected his 78th hit today on a home run blast off the scoreboard during the 2nd inning off Chinooks pitcher Ryan Dunne. The hit gave him the most hits of any Logger in a single season. He passed former Loggers Jason Louwsma (2005) and Mike Marjama (2010) who both had 77 hits. McCoy is still on pace to break the Northwoods League single season hits record, held by Waterloo Buck Luis Rivera with 107 hits in 1995.

He ended the night going two for four with two runs and a RBI. Mason is close to breaking a number of Logger season records; he is 2nd in team history in runs, tied for 5th in extra base hits, tied for 8th in doubles, and tied for 9th in singles.
