La Crosse, Wisc. – The Northwoods League has announced the rosters for the 2015 Major League Dreams Showcase in Madison, Wisc. Four La Crosse Loggers were selected by a panel of MLB scouts to play in it; Mason McCoy (Iowa), Brock Lundquist (Long Beach State), Ronnie Gideon (Texas A&M), and Jordan Jess (Minnesota).

Mason McCoy has put up MVP-like numbers the entire season. His 94 hits, 67 runs, and 139 total bases not only are the best of any Logger in franchise history but may soon be the best in League history. He has broken a total of five Loggers single-season records and is close to even more. Mason leads the league in batting average, runs, hits, total bases, and games played and is top five in the league in extra-base hits and slugging percentage. He was selected to the All-Star Game and Home Run Challenge in Wisconsin Rapids in July. He has played shortstop and second base for the majority of the season, but is listed as an outfielder for the showcase.

Brock Lundquist has quietly put up big numbers for the Loggers this season. Batting .326 on the season, he has 44 hits and 37 RBI’s. Amidst McCoy’s new records, Lundquist owns the Logger’s single season doubles record with 18. Brock has been limited to playing designated hitter for the season because of an injury, but he is listed as an outfielder for the showcase.

Ronnie Gideon has provided some power for La Crosse from the plate this year. His 7 home runs are good for second best on the team, including a walk off solo shot to beat Wisconsin Rapids earlier this month. Ronnie has been a solid third baseman for the Lumbermen and is listed as an infielder for the showcase.

Jordan Jess has been one of the best pitchers this season from the bullpen. In 26.1 innings, he has only given up 5 earned runs off 15 hits. His 1.71 ERA and 36 strikeouts have kept the Loggers in many close games.

All four players will play for the home team in the 4:05 game at Warner Park in Madison. There is also a 7:35 game following the earlier game, no Loggers were selected to play in that contest.
