La Crosse, Wisc.-  The Loggers score eight unanswered runs after falling behind 3-0 to sweep the Rox 8-3.

The Rox’s bats were quick to introduce themselves to Logger starter Jonathan Teaney (San Diego). Ricky Ramirez (McNeese State) homered on the fifth pitch of the game in the opening at-bat. Luke Ringhofer singled with two later in the inning to give St. Cloud a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning for the second straight night.

La Crosse caught their stride in the 3rd inning. Kevin Collard (San Diego) walked with one out. Garrett Zech (South Florida) followed with an infield single, but an overthrow put Collard at third base. Kevin scored during the next at-bat on a wild pitch. Casey Danley (Illinois Central) reached on an error on the second basemen. David Jacob (Quincy) made the Rox pay for the error with a two-run single to tie the game 3-3.

Two Logger walked in the 4th inning to bring the third basemen Luke Farley (Iowa) to the plate. Luke earned his first hit of the season with a three-run home run to give the Lumbermen their first lead of the game, 6-3.

Brandon Larkin-Guilfoyle (Davenport) added to the total in the next inning with a two-run home run himself, extending their lead to five.

Teaney settled down after his rough 1st inning, only giving up a hit in his last five innings.

La Crosse closed down the game to grab their second win of the season. The Loggers move to 2-2 on the season and the Rox fall to 0-4 on the season. La Crosse remains at home for one more night. Come see the Loggers take on the I-90 rival in Rochester. Gates open at 5 for the 6:05 start.
