La Crosse, Wisc.- The matchup between the Lakeshore Chinooks and the La Crosse Loggers has been rained out in the 3rd inning. The game was scoreless heading into the top of the 3rd inning when lightning in the distance caused the umpire crew to bring both teams off the field. The game was delayed for 2 hours and 48 minutes before being postponed.

Zach Kesterson (Duke) started the game on the mound for the Loggers, against Alex Rogers (North Dakota State). Both pitchers managed the first two innings well, combining the give up five hits and striking out three batters.

The game will be continued tomorrow just as the teams left it tonight. Game time for the postponed will be at 6:05, with the previously scheduled game against the Chinooks to follow 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. Gates open 5 o’clock.
