Another weekend of collegiate baseball in the books lead to noteworthy performances by many incoming 2017 Loggers. Here's a look at the action.

Pitchers

  • On Saturday, Long Beach State's RHP, John Sheaks, added another win to his resume. In seven innings pitched, he allowed just one run on two hits while striking out five to lead the Dirtbags in a 11-4 win over UC Riverside.

Positional Players

  • Ryan Mantle, Jefferson Community College infielder, has compiled a .369 batting average with 41 hits including 12 doubles, three triples, and six homeruns.
  • Zach Almond, Catawaba catcher, is hitting .362 wtih 51 hits consisting of 16 doubles and 13 homeruns. 
  • Anthony Clyma, Sacramento City College outfielder, has a team-leading batting average of .394 with 13 hits.
  • Connor Perry, Lackawanna outfielder, has collected 31 hits, which include 11 doubles and two homeruns, to post a .337 batting average.
