ST. CLOUD, MN – The La Crosse Loggers got another strong pitching performance on Thursday night at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, MN but just couldn't muster any offense for the second straight night and fell to the host Rox by a final score of 3-0.

The hosts scored right away in the bottom of the first when their lead-off hitter took the fourth pitch he saw over the fence for a solo home run to give St. Cloud an instant 1-0 lead and all the runs they would need.

Loggers starter Hunter Davis (Duke) was effective after that as he went on to toss four innings of two-hit baseball, but three walks would enable two more runs to score to give the Rox a 3-0 lead before Davis exited the game.  Nathaniel Garley (New Mexico) relieved Davis in the fifth and went on to toss 2.1 innings of shutout baseball, striking out two in his Loggers debut before turning it over to Chris Boettcher (Indianapolis) who tossed the final 1.2 of shutout baseball.  On the night, those three Loggers pitchers combined to limit the Rox to just four hits.

Offensively, though, the Loggers only produced four hits of their own and could never push across a run against three St. Cloud pitchers.  Sage Bruhl (MATC) collected two of the Loggers four hits on the night.

The Lumbermen will conclude their current five-game road trip on Friday when they travel to Mayo Field in Rochester, MN to take on the Honkers.  Air time on the Logger Nation Station, Eagle 102.7 FM is set for 6:30 p.m.
